BJP MLA Mohan Singh Bisht Pushes for Renaming Mustafabad to Shivpuri or Shiv Vihar

Mohan Singh Bisht, the newly elected BJP MLA from Mustafabad, has announced plans to rename the constituency to either Shivpuri or Shiv Vihar, citing the Hindu majority population in the area.

Mustafabad, which witnessed significant violence during the 2020 Delhi riots, is now at the center of a heated debate over its proposed name change.Defending the move, Bisht questioned the objections to renaming, emphasizing the demographic composition of the locality. He argued that the name change would bring respect to the majority population.
