In a heated debate, the Himachal Pradesh Assembly passed the Himachal Pradesh Legislative (Allowances and Pension) Amendment Bill, 2024, on Wednesday. The bill aims to deny pension benefits to MLAs disqualified under the anti-defection law, to deter political turncoats.
