In Bihar politics, a fresh controversy has erupted after the Nitish Kumar government initiated administrative action against former Chief Minister Rabri Devi.

The Building Construction Department issued a notice asking her to vacate the government residence at 10 Circular Road, a bungalow historically associated with the Lalu Yadav family and once considered the epicentre of Bihar’s political power during his tenure. The department has now allotted Rabri Devi a new residence at 39 Hardinge Road.

Simultaneously, Tej Pratap Yadav has also been directed to vacate the 26 M Stand Road bungalow, which has now been allotted to Lakhendra Kumar Roshan. The Lalu family shares decades of political and emotional memories with the 10 Circular Road residence.
