A crucial verdict in the long-standing Bhojshala dispute is expected today as the Indore Bench of the Madhya Pradesh High Court prepares to pronounce its decision on competing religious claims over the historic site in Dhar district. The High Court had reserved its judgment on May 12 after extensive hearings held under directions linked to proceedings in the Supreme Court.
According to reports, the verdict is likely to be announced around 2:30 PM and is being viewed as a potentially historic moment in the decades-old legal and religious dispute. The Bhojshala complex has remained at the center of a sensitive controversy involving multiple communities.
The Hindu side has consistently claimed that the site is an ancient temple dedicated to Goddess Saraswati and refers to it as Bhojshala. On the other hand, the Muslim side maintains that the structure is the Kamal Maula Mosque and has been used as a mosque for centuries.
