Yadavendra Singh, the great-grandson of freedom fighter Bhagat Singh, has objected to Sunita Kejriwal delivering an address with the portrait of the revolutionary placed alongside the photo of her jailed husband Arvind Kejriwal.

"If we look at the politics of today, it is turning personal. Politics is being done for personal benefit. Any leader should not be compared with him (Bhagat Singh). His contribution was for the country and the society. It wasn't personal," Yadvendra Singh was quoted as saying by news agency ANI.

Since Delhi Chief Minister and Aam Aadmi Party chief Arvind Kejriwal's arrest by the Enforcement Directorate on March 21, his wife Sunita has been releasing video statements, sitting on the same chair her husband used for his press briefings. The backdrop of the chair shows portraits of Bhagat Singh and Dr Bhimrao Ambedkar.
