Baloch insurgents claim 90 killed in attack on Pakistani military convoy
A suicide bombing followed by an ambush on a Pakistani military convoy in Balochistan’s Noshki district on Sunday killed at least 90 soldiers, according to a statement issued by the Baloch Liberation Army (BLA). The attack, which involved a Vehicle-Borne Improvised Explosive Device (VBIED), was claimed by the group's Majeed Brigade.
In a statement, BLA spokesperson Jeeyand Baloch said, "The Majeed Brigade, the Fidayee unit of the Baloch Liberation Army (BLA), targeted a convoy of the occupying Pakistani military a few hours ago in a VBIED Fidayee attack near Rakhshan Mill on the RCD Highway in Noshki."
The BLA said the convoy consisted of eight buses, one of which was completely destroyed in the explosion. The group further claimed that its Fateh Squad surrounded another bus and "systematically eliminated all military personnel on board, bringing the total number of enemy casualties to 90."
