The Badrinath-Kedarnath Temple Committee (BKTC), which oversees the centuries-old Badrinath and Kedarnath shrines in Uttarakhand, also manages a network of 45 subordinate temples. These temples, spread across the region, play a vital role in preserving the religious and cultural heritage of the Char Dham pilgrimage circuit.
Among the notable temples under BKTC’s administration are Tunganath Temple at Tunganath, Mata Murti Temple at Badrinath, Bhavishya Badari Temple at Subhain, and Shri Madmaheshwar Temple at Madmaheshwar. Others include Narsingh Temple at Joshimath, Yogbadari Temple at Pandukeshwar, Shri Vishwanath Ji Temple at Guptkashi, and Shri Gauri Mayi Temple at Gaurikund.
The committee also manages sacred sites like Tapt Kund springs, BrahmaKapal and Parikrama areas in Badrinath, Panch Shilas and Panch Dharas within the Badrinath precinct, and minor temples within the precincts of Kedarnath temple and Shri Vishwanath ji Kedarnath at Guptkashi.
