New Delhi: India has confirmed its place as the first team to reach the Super-4 in the Asia CupAsia CupAsia Cup 2025. After a thumping seven-wicket win against Pakistan on Sunday, India’s entry into the Super-4 was almost certain, but on Monday, UAE defeated Oman by 42 runs and formally sealed India’s qualification.
The seventh match of Asia Cup 2025, played on Monday, was between UAE and Oman. In this match, UAE batted first and scored a strong total of 172/5. In response, Oman’s team was bundled out for just 130 runs in 18.4 overs, and UAE won the match by 42 runs.
India has been victorious in both the matches played so far and has a total of 4 points. India still has one match left, which will be played against Oman on 19 September. But after two consecutive defeats, Oman is out of the competition.
