Ashwin-Jadeja becomes most successful Test bowling pair for India

India's spin duo of Ravichandran Ashwin and Ravindra Jadeja went past Anil Kumble-Harbhajan Singh to become the most successful Test bowling pair for India during the first Test against England at Hyderabad on Thursday.

The pair achieved their 502nd wicket together, surpassing the previous record held by Anil Kumble and Harbhajan Singh, who had managed 501 wickets in 54 matches.

The current record for the highest number of wickets taken by a bowling pair belongs to English pace bowlers James Anderson and Stuart Broad. They have accounted for an impressive 1039 wickets in 138 Test matches. Among the currently active pairs, Mitchell Starc and Nathan Lyon stand at the forefront, having secured 643 wickets in 81 Tests.
