Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese on Saturday married his partner, Jodie Haydon, at the official residence in Canberra, becoming the first sitting Australian leader to wed in office.

According to a report in The Guardian, the ceremony took place in the afternoon at the Lodge, attended by close family and friends, including Albanese’s son Nathan and Haydon’s parents, Bill and Pauline. Shortly after the ceremony, the Australian Prime Minister shared the video of him walking down the aisle with his new wife.

The couple were married by a celebrant from the NSW Central Coast and exchanged vows they had written themselves. Haydon was walked down the aisle by her parents to Ben Folds’ “The Luckiest.” She wore a dress by Sydney designer Romance Was Born, while Albanese’s suit was by MJ Bale, the report added.
