Andhra college student walks out of classroom, jumps to death from 3rd floor
A first-year intermediate student at Narayana College in Anantapur district, Andhra Pradesh ended his life by jumping from the third floor of the college building. The incident that unfolded on Thursday morning was captured on CCTV, and eyewitnesses confirmed that the student had jumped at around 10.30 am, shortly after returning to college following the Sankranti holidays.
In the video, the boy can be seen walking out of the classroom, standing on the ledge and jumping off the third floor. His classmates stepped out of the room to see what had happened. The student, a resident of Ramapuram in Battalapalli mandal, succumbed to his injuries before he could be rushed to the hospital.
The Students’ Federation of India (SFI) has been at the forefront of the protests, demanding accountability from the college management. SFI leaders have alleged that the college administration is responsible for the student's death, accusing them of trying to conceal the truth and suppress the facts surrounding the incident. “The college management is responsible for the student's death. They are trying to suppress the truth and wash away the bloodstains,” the protesters claimed.
