Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma on Thursday said that, all cadres of newly formed insurgent group National Liberation Front of Bodoland (NLFB) will lay down their arms.
Himanta Biswa Sarma tweeted, “People’s trust on the government policies is reflected by NLFB’s decision to return to the mainstream today. I welcome their homecoming. We reiterate our commitment for all round the development of Bodoland and to protect the unique Socio - cultural and political identity of Bodo people.”
The cadres of the NLFB, led by M Batha, are reportedly on their way from the jungle area to surrender before the Assam Police.
