Air India pilot found dead in Delhi hotel

An Air India pilot was found dead in Delhi after he was found unconscious inside his hotel room during a layover, Air India and Delhi Police confirmed this on Saturday. The Mumbai-based captain had checked into hotel in Vasant Kunj for a layover on 10 September and he was scheduled to operate a flight early on 12 September. He was taken to hospital after he was unresponsive but was brought declared dead.

According to Delhi Police, a PCR call at Vasant Kunj police station received an information about the pilot's brother contacted the hotel manager on evening of 11 September. The brother told that he had been unable to reach by phone.

Later the hotel manager entered the hotel room and found the door locked from inside. He then opened it with master key and found the pilot unconscious and unresponsive.
