'Agar shor machaya … ': Wife's stark warning as she pours boiling oil on husband in Delhi; probe launched

In a shocking incident, a woman in  South Delhi allegedly poured boiling oil on her husband and sprinkled chilli powder on his burns, and threatened to inflict more torture on the man if he screams. According to the police, the incident took place on October 3, when the victim, Dinesh, a 28-year-old pharmaceutical firm worker, lay asleep in his Madangir house.

As per the victim’s complaint, his wife poured hot oil on his body at around 3 AM while he lay asleep, and with their 8-year-old daughter in the house. Dinesh woke up screaming and his shock, but his wife sprinkled chilli powder on his burns, and threatened to pour more boiling oil over him if he dared to scream.

“Agar shor machaya to aur garam tel daal doongi’ (if you scream, I will pour more oil on you),” she warned Dinesh, according to the victim’s complaint filed at the Ambedkar NagarAmbedkar NagarAmbedkar Nagar Police Station.
