6 Killed In Illegal Firecracker Factory Blast In West Bengal

A massive explosion in West Bengal’s South 24 Parganas district late last night caused panic, resulting in the tragic deaths of seven people, including four children. The blast occurred in a house in the Patharpratima area, initially believed to be caused by a gas cylinder explosion. However, reports suggest that firecrackers were being made in the house, leading to the explosion.

The fire spread rapidly due to the large quantity of firecrackers stored inside. The incident has sparked political controversy, with opposition leader Suvendu Adhikari questioning the state government’s accountability. He criticized the administration, alleging that West Bengal is sitting on a “pile of bombs” and demanding answers from the state’s Director General of Police.
