6 Killed, 1 Injured in Chemical Factory Fire Near Jaipur
A tragic fire broke out at a chemical factory in Jaipur district's Bassi area on Saturday evening, claiming the lives of six people and injuring one other, officials confirmed. Jaipur District Collector Prakash Rajpurohit stated that the fire erupted late in the evening following an explosion in the factory's boiler.
One of the injured, who sustained 95 per cent burn injuries and was rushed to Jaipur's Sawai Man Singh government hospital, succumbed to their injuries during treatment, according to Dr Achal Sharma, the hospital's superintendent, news agency PTI reported. The second injured person, who suffered 65 per cent burn injuries, is currently undergoing treatment at the hospital.
Earlier Jaipur Commissioner of Police Biju George Joseph reported that five individuals died at the scene of the fire, which has since been extinguished. The injured have been admitted to SMS Hospital, where medical professionals are endeavouring to provide them with the best possible care. District Collector Rajpurohit assured that the incident will be thoroughly investigated.
