3 Union ministers, 4 MPs in BJP's 2nd list of candidates for Madhya Pradesh polls

Among the central ministers who have been given tickets are union Minister for agriculture, Narendra Singh Tomar, who will be contesting from Dimani; Pralhad Patel, minister of state for food processing who will be contesting from Narsinghpur; and minister for state for rural development, Faggan Singh Kulaste who has been given a ticket from Niwas, a seat reserved for STs.

Several MPs, Ganesh Singh, Rakesh Singh, Riti Pathak, and national general secy Kailash Vijayvargiya have also been given tickets to contest. The second list includes 39 candidates of whom six are women. The party has already announced the first list with 39 names in August.

According to a party functionary, a decision to field senior leaders who are ministers in the union council of ministers and lawmakers was taken by the party high command to bolster the party's chances at the hustings.
