3 killed in Nepal communal violence, curfews imposed in multiple districts

Violence between two communities in Nepal’s Sunsari district has spread to several parts of the country, prompting authorities to impose curfews in multiple cities and deploy the army to restore law and order. The unrest began on Sunday after clashes erupted between the two groups in Sunsari and gradually expanded to several districts of Madhesh Province.

Over the past four days, at least three people have been killed, while many others have been injured during violent incidents and subsequent police action. The clashes also resulted in widespread arson, causing significant damage to public and private property.
