15-year-old mows down 2-year-old neighbour at Delhi’s Paharganj

Eid celebrations for a family in Delhi turned into a tragedy, after their two-year-old daughter was crushed to death while she was playing outside her home in central Delhi's Paharganj area on Sunday.

The vehicle was owned by the neighbour, identified as Pankaj Agarwal, but the car was driven by his teenage son. Both of them have been arrested, police said on Monday, news agency PTI reported.

Police added that the incident took place around 6.15 pm at Ram Nagar in Paharganj and was captured on CCTV. The chilling incident captured on CCTV showed that the car approached the toddler slowly before coming to a halt. In the meantime, the car suddenly moved forward and crushed the child under the left front wheel.
