13-year-old on bicycle crushed to death by Thar in Delhi, driver on the run

A 13-year-old boy died on Wednesday after being hit by a Thar in Delhi in yet another accident involving the car. According to police, the boy was on his bicycle when he was first hit by the car and then crushed under the wheels as the driver reversed and fled the scene.

The incident happened near an Indian Oil petrol pump in Vasant Kunj at around 2 pm. The teenager was out to buy samosas after returning from school. An eyewitness said that the speeding black-coloured Thar hit the 13-year-old from behind as he was crossing the road.

"He first hit him, then, despite seeing that someone had been hit, the driver intentionally reversed and ran over the boy," the eyewitness told India Today, adding that when the driver reversed and fled the spot, he crushed the teenager's head under the Thar's wheels.
