Ex-US ambassador arrested for serving as an agent of Cuba

Former US ambassador to Bolivia, Manuel Rocha, was arrested in Miami in a long-running FBI counterintelligence investigation. Rocha, accused of secretly serving as an agent of Cuba's government, is facing a criminal complaint. The case alleges that Rocha worked to promote the Cuban government's interests. The Justice Department requires individuals doing the political bidding of a foreign government inside the US to register with them. Rocha's arrest comes as the Justice Department has increased its criminal enforcement of illicit foreign lobbying.
