Former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh on Monday attended the crucial session of the Rajya Sabha as the House met to discuss and vote on the Delhi Services Bill. Singh was sitting in a wheelchair and the images have gone viral on social media with leaders praising the former PM for his dedication towards democracy. However, Singh's attendance has sparked a war of words between the BJP and Congress whose leaders took to X (formerly Twitter) to slam each other.

The Bharatiya Janta Party (BJP) posted a photo of Manmohan Singh in wheelchair from Monday's Rajya Sabha session and said that Congress kept a former PM sitting in a wheelchair and termed it 'extremely shameful'.

"The country will remember this craziness of Congress! The Congress kept a former Prime Minister sitting in a wheel chair late night in the House even in such a state of health, that too just to keep their dishonest alliance alive! Extremely Shameful!" she tweeted.
