Pet cat stops cobra from entering house in viral videos from Odisha. What happened next
As seen in the viral videos, the cat named Soni was spotted sitting in front of the house, in what appeared to be the courtyard as the cobra stood still in an attempt to enter.
In a rather courageous act, a pet cat prevented a mishap after she stopped a cobra from entering her owner’s house in the Kapilas area of Odisha capital Bhubaneswar. Videos of the incident have gone viral on social media.
As seen in the short clips, the cat named Soni was spotted sitting in front of the house, in what appeared to be the courtyard as the cobra stood still in an attempt to enter.
For around two hours, the cat sat still keeping a watch on the cobra in order to prevent it from entering the house and harming the inhabitants.

After a few hours, a man from the rescue team arrived at the spot and managed to pick up the cobra with the help of the stick. The cat, at that time, retreated backwards as the man successfully put the cobra in a bag.
