This complaint was filed regarding the seizure of five AK-47 rifles, 300 kilos of heroin and 1,000 9mm ammunition rounds at Minicoy coast as the Coast Guard intercepted a fishing boat named Ravihansi on March 18, 2021.

Later, a case was registered stating that Satkunam was involved in smuggling and utilising the profit for supporting the revival of the LTTE.

According to the NIA, the investigation revealed that Satkunam was involved in arranging conspiracy meetings of sympathisers in India. He was also accused of playing an important role in routing the proceedings to former LTTE cadres.
