Former Andhra Pradesh CM Konijeti Rosaiah dies at 88

Former Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Konijeti Rosaiah died on Saturday. He was 88.

Konijeti Rosaiah, who also served as the governor of Tamil Nadu, breathed his last today morning in Hyderabad.

Konijeti Rosaiah was brought to STAR Hospitals in Hyderabad this morning in an unresponsive state, the hospital administration said. He breathed his last at 8.20 am.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi condoled the death of Konijeti Rosaiah. " Saddened by the passing away of Shri K. Rosaiah Garu. I recall my interactions with him when we both served as Chief Ministers and later when he was Tamil Nadu Governor. His contributions to public service will be remembered. Condolences to his family and supporters. Om Shanti," PM Modi said in a tweet.

Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK Stalin shared condolences over the demise of Konijeti Rosaiah. "Pained to hear about the passing away of Former Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh and Former Governor of Tamil Nadu Dr Konijeti Rosaiah, a man of vast experience, knowledge and a veteran statesman. I offer my deepest condolences to his family and friends in this hour of grief," Stalin said in a tweet.

Meanwhile, the Telangana government has declared a three-day state mourning in the memory of Konijeti Rosaiah.
