However, years later, they came face-to-face in America. Now, the entire family, even the Shahs are in America. Anuj is going to marry Shruti but his heart is still with Anupamaa. In Anupamaa, there is celebrating of Ram Navami. A puja takes place where everyone comes together. There is Anupamaa, Anuj, Aadhya, Shruti and everyone else. As Shruti and Anuj are going to marry, they do the aarti together. Aadhya too joins and it is a proper happy family scene. But Anuj being Anuj, he is only dreaming about Anupamaa. He imagines that instead of Shruti, it is Anupamaa. It is a dream sequence and fans loving every bit of it. Anuj is clearly not able to move on as this is not for the first time that he is imagining Shruti as Anupamaa.
