SonyLIV's forthcoming series "Rocket Boys," based on the lives of Indian nuclear researchers Homi Bhabha and Vikram Sarabhai, will star actors Jim Sarbh and Ishwak Singh, the streaming platform said on Wednesday. Abhay Pannu directs the program, which was developed by filmmaker Nikkhil Advani, Roy Kapur Films, and Emmay Entertainment.

Sarbh, who has been in films like as "Neerja" and "Padmaavat," will play Bhabha, and believes that the series will be a part of the next wave of how material is created and consumed. Taking on the role of Homi Bhabha is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity, partially because of our common Parsi background, but primarily because of the fascinating, determined Renaissance guy he was.

"His dedication to scientific process and discovery, not least of which are his legacy of world class scientific institutions, his notes on art and culture, and his ability to have a good laugh, make him a delicious character to play," Sarbh, 33, said in a statement.
