French Open 2021: Daniil Medvedev and Stefanos Tsitsipas set up quarter-final clash after 4th round wins
Second seed Daniil Medvedev and fifth seed Stefanos Tsitsipas won their respective fourth matches on Sunday to set up a mouth-watering quarter-finals clash against each other in the French Open 2021.
Greek world number 5 Tsitsipas continued with his red-hot form and gave no chance to Spanish 12th seed Pablo Carreno Busta to advance into the quarter-finals at the Roland Garros with a 6-3, 6-2, 7-5 victory. Busta tried to make a comeback in the third set but the 22-year-old soon tightened his grip to ensure that he goes in the last-8 leg with some good momentum.
"The fans love it, I love it, I love playing with people, I love attention," Tsitsipas, who played his previous match in an empty stadium because of the local Covid-induced curfew, said in a courtside interview.
