The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) on Friday filed a chargesheet against Yes Bank’s former chief Rana Kapoor, wife Bindu Kapoor, promoter of Avantha Reality Gautam Thapar and others in connection with an alleged loan scam of over Rs 1,700 crore.

On Thursday, the Supreme Court had granted bail to Bindu Rana Kapoor and her two daughters — Radha and Roshni Kapoor — in a case involving Dewan Housing Finance Corporation Limited (DHFL).

In the charge sheet filed before a special CBI court in Mumbai, the CBI had registered a case on March 12, 2020, on the allegations that Rana Kapoor as managing director (MD) and chief executive officer (CEO) of Yes Bank abused his official position and acquired a 1.2-acre uber-luxe bungalow at 40 Amrita Shergill Marg in Central Delhi at a very less price than the actual market value.
