Bajaj Auto July sales jump 44 pc in July, exports more than double

Bajaj Auto's overall sales in July 2021 were at 3,69,116, a 44 per cent growth over sales in the same month a year ago, when Bajaj Auto reported overall sales volumes of 2,55,832. Overall exports of Bajaj Auto in July 2021, which includes both two-wheelers and commercial vehicles, was recoded at 2,01,843 units, a massive 108 per cent growth over 96,856 units exported in the same month a year ago. Overall domestic sales are more or less flat, with just 5 per cent growth, with 1,67,273 units despatched in July 2021, compared to 1,58,976 units despatched in the same month a year ago.

Domestic market two-wheeler sales of Bajaj Auto grew by 39 per cent in July 2021

Bajaj Auto's two-wheeler sales in July 2021 were at 3,30,569 units, which grew by 39 per cent, compared to 2,38,556 units in July 2020. Strong export numbers from India's largest exporter of motorcycles powered July 2021 sales. Overseas sales posted 103 per cent growth with 1,74,337 units, compared to just 86,082 units in the same month a year ago. In fact, Bajaj Auto's overseas sales surpassed domestic sales in July 2021, which were at 1,56,232 units, a 2 per cent growth over July 2020 sales, when Bajaj Auto reported sales of 1,52,474 units.

Overall two-wheeler sales in the current financial year (April to July 2021), have reported 93 per cent growth, compared to the same period a year ago, reflecting strong revival in the segment. In fact, two-wheeler exports in the period grew by a whopping 144 per cent, from 3,00,030 units last year to 7,31,090 units during April to July 2021. Domestic market sales of two-wheelers also seem to be on a strong rebound, growing 47 per cent from 3,38,455 unit in the April-July 2020 period to 4,98,784 units during April to July 2021.
