Alia Bhatt's half-sister Pooja Bhatt commented on Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor's relationship status
Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor are in love but even then Alia Bhatt's elder sister and filmmaker Pooja Bhatt refused to toss some information in that direction.
At the outset of an event in New Delhi, when Pooja was asked to comment on the growing camaraderie between Alia and Ranbir, she told indianexpress.com, “You got to ask Alia! You can ask me about my personal life. You cannot ask me about my sister’s personal life because I ain’t telling, darling!”
Pooja is known for her unabashed and unambiguous responses, but when it comes to little sister, she sure prefers taking the back seat.
When prodded further about how she manages to tackle such stories about Alia, she said, "Like I took rumours about me. What was true didn’t bother me. What was not true didn’t bother me. And she is a Bhatt after all, and a much-improved Bhatt in that sense."
Without mincing words, but still trying to pick the right ones, the Dil Hai Ki Manta Nai actress added, "I think that this is her time in the sun. We should just let that young girl be and enjoy her life because I think she is doing her job of entertaining India and the world really well. So, what she does or does not do in her personal life is really her problem. How she chooses to lead her life is her problem."
She also said that each one approaches a situation in a different manner and we must be respectful of that. "My father and I have a different approach to it. She has a different approach to it. So, I think we should just let people be who they are."
Rumours concerning Alia and Ranbir’s relationship started during the first schedule of Ayan Mukerji’s Brahmastra in Bulgaria.
The two later attended Sonam Kapoor’s wedding together in Mumbai. In a recent interview with GQ magazine, Ranbir confirmed that he’s dating Alia.
He said, “It’s really new right now, and I don’t want to overspeak. It needs time to breathe and it needs space. As an actor, as a person, Alia is– what’s the right word? flowing right now. When I see her work, when I see her act, even in life, what she gives is something that I’m aspiring for myself. It’s new for us, so let it cook a bit.”
Alia was recently clicked on a dinner date with Ranbir and his family.
