A highly emotional Salman Khan thanks his legion of fans for all the love and support - read tweet

Salman is quite emotional with all the love and support that he got in the past few days

Not only fans of Salman Khan, but others, too, were shocked when the superstar was convicted in the 1998 blackbuck poaching case. Salman was sentenced to five years of imprisonment with a fine of Rs 10,000. The verdict was announced on April 5. He was locked in the Central Jail of Jodhpur for two nights as his lawyers tried hard to get him out on bail and the verdict was announced in his favour. As soon as the bail was sanctioned by the Sessions court judge on April 7, Salman’s followers gathered outside the court and rejoiced over his victory. The actor was released from jail within an hour and he later boarded the charter plane waiting for him at the Jodhpur airport. A couple of hours later, Salman landed in Mumbai with his sisters, Alvira Agnihotri and Arpita Khan Sharma and headed to the Galaxy Apartments, Bandra, where he resides. After meeting his parents, Salman made his way to the flat’s terrace to wave out to his humongous number of fans gathered outside his building. Now an emotional Salman has thanked those fans, who couldn't be there below his residence too. The actor took to Twitter to post a sweet message for his legion of fans. "Tears of gratitude . To all my loved ones who are with me and never lost hope . Thank you for being there with all the love and support . God Bless . (sic)," read his tweet. Quite evidently, Salman is overwhelmed with all the love that he has received in the past few days. Soon after he greeted his fans on Sunday, Salman's industry friends headed to his house to meet him. Katrina Kaif was among the many celebrities, who rushed to meet Salman. Joining Katrina was Daisy Shah, Malaika Arora, Varun Dhawan, Mahesh Manjrekar, Saqib Saleem, Amrita Arora and others. While Salman might be a free man for now, the relief is only temporary as according to the court order, he cannot leave the country without permission. The Bishnoi community, who had registered a case in the first place, are not happy with the bail. Hence, they they plan to move the Rajasthan High Court. Mahipal Bishnoi, the community’s lawyer told to News18 that Salman will also have to be present on May 7 for the next hearing.
