Kareena Kapoor Khan and Sonam Kapoor Ahuja starrer Veere Di Wedding receives an 'A' certificate from CBFC

Veere Di Wedding will lock horns with Bhavesh Joshi Superhero at the ticket windows

Kareena Kapoor Khan and Sonam Kapoor Ahuja starrer Veere Di Wedding has created humungous buzz among the movie buff thanks to its unconventional and youth-centric trailer. The cuss-words and abusive language in the promo raised the eyebrows of many that how CBFC has allowed it stay in the trailer. On Tuesday, the veteran actors and fathers of the producers Jeetendra and Anil Kapoor attended the censor certification of the film. During the screening of Veere Di Wedding, while many members of CBFC were not in favour of the lead actresses using cuss words in the film, Anil and Jeetendra convinced them that this kind of language is generally used by all the youth across the country. As per the sources, “Both Jeetendra and Anil argued heatedly in favour of the colourful language spoken in the film. They are convinced that today’s youngsters speak that foul lurid leery language. Some panel members objected. But finally, the board members agreed to let the language remain intact and gave the film an ‘A’ certificate.” So all the cuss words will now be a part of the film, but if you want to watch it in theatres, you must be above 18.

Directed by Shashanka Bose, the film is produced by Rhea Kapoor, Nikhil Dwivedi, Ekta Kapoor and Shobha Kapoor. The film also stars Swara Bhasker, Shikha Talasania and Sumeet Vyas in pivotal roles. It is set to hit the screens on June 1 and will lock the horns with Harshvardhan Kapoor's Bhavesh Joshi Superhero at the box office. Anyway, are you guys excited for the film?
