The cat is out of the bag now but we were the first ones to tell you that, weren't we? Parineeti Chopra has been finalised as the actress of the film, Kesari and it is official now. Confirming the same, Karan Johar tweeted and wrote, "The lead actress in #KESARI is ........PARINEETI CHOPRA! @ParineetiChopra" Check out the tweet right here... We were the first ones to tell you that Parineeti Chopra is confirmed as the lead actress of the film and the movie is all set to roll in January 2018. Our source had said, "Both Karan and Akshay have zeroed in on Parineeti Chopra and she has given her nod too. She is very much onboard and will begin prep for the film soon. An official announcement about the same is being planned for sometime in November end. This is a big project for Parineeti and there was no way she could turn it down. Well, this will be the first time that Parineeti will be seen in an Akshay Kumar-starrer and we are really excited to see as to what she would be able to offer. Considering the fact that this is the first time that she is attempting something like this, it will indeed be interesting to see her make an impact. Last year, too, the actress impressed with her act in Golmaal Again and it seems like she is now ready to take on another project and soon. Kesari is a film based on the epic battle of Saragarhi. Fought in 1897, the battle is a glorious chapter in the history of Sikhs. The brave warriors of the 36th Sikh regiment of the British Indian Army defended India from the Pashtun and Orakzai tribesmen who were 10,000 in number. Only 21 soldiers were at the post but they defended the North-West Frontier Province.
