Here's what Varun Dhawan has to say about Priyanka Chopra-Quantico controversy

An episode in the third season of Quantico created a lot of chaos on social media. It showed an Indian group as terrorists trying to bomb Manhattan and put the blame on Pakistan. The amount of backlash that the show received made ABC Studios, the makers of the show, release an apology asking people to not target Priyanka Chopra in all this. In fact, the actress, too, apologised for the same. So when Varun Dhawan at the IIFA 2018 press conference was asked to comment on it, he said, 'Priyanka Chopra made our entire country very proud. The question was asked to everyone on stage which included, Bobby Deol, Varun, Kriti Sanon and Ayushmann Khurrana. The October actor passed the question to Ayushmann. The boys had some fun on the same but Khurana did answer it. "Aap jab kuch kirdar play karte ho, aapki apni soch hoti hai, aap ek kirdar play kar rahe hai, director ko follow kar rahe hai, script ko follow kar rahe, Woh aapki pehli responsibility hai. Aap koi bhi side le le uska backlash apko milega hi milega," said Ayushmann. That's when Varun added that the entire nation is proud of Priyanka Chopra.
