The first teaser of the upcoming movie was released today, with the tagline that it is a 'syapa love story'.

Fans have been waiting for quite some time to see Anil Kapoor share the same frame with his daughter Sonam Kapoor. Their wish is coming true with Shelly Chopra Dhar's directorial Ek Ladki Ko Dekha Toh Aisa Laga. The first teaser of the upcoming movie was released today, with the tagline that it is a 'syapa love story'. The movie also stars Rajkummar Rao and Juhi Chawla. The first teaser doesn't reveal the story at all but simply gives us a glimpse of the characters. Everyone is in their simplest avatars which, I give it to the film, is refreshing. The story is set in the heart of Punjab and it seems like something between wedding preparations of Sonam and Rajkummar goes wrong that creates a problem in the family. But that all being said, the first teaser fails to leave any impact at all. The way the teaser shows the vintage footage of Anil Kapoor singing EK Ladki Ko Dekha Toh Aisa Laga in the beginning, your expectations are raised. In fact, when it is said that this will be a syapa love story, you'd find yourself intrigued and curious. But it all fizzles down as the teaser plays out. For a movie quirkily talking about 'syapa' we are shown a rather average first look that seems like an emotional family drama instead. That being said, the first look of Anil Kapoor and Sonam Kapoor in the same frame is still enough for us to give Ek Ladki Ko Dekha Toh Aisa Laga another shot and wait for the full-fledged trailer to come out.
