Breaking! Rajinikanth's wife, Latha, to face trial in the cheating case

Rajinikanth's wife, Latha and her company, was earlier summoned by the Supreme Court over non-payment of dues to an ad agency in regards to Kochadaiyaan which released in 2014. The Apex court had ordered the company which has Latha Rajinikanth as the director, to pay up Rs 6.2 crore to the ad agency which had given the amount during the post-production of the film. But it seems the dues are still pending. The court had ordered her to clear all the dues or she will have to face the trial for the same charges. But today, Supreme Court has issued its verdict which states that Latha Rajinikanth will indeed face the trial. It has set aside Karnataka High Court's verdict and voiced its displeasure over her false assurances to the court. Check out News 18's coverage right here. Also read: Shocking! PTI had reported that during the judgement that was released in Feb for the case, “A bench comprising Justices Ranjan Gogoi and R Banumathi clarified that if the firm Mediaone Global Entertainment Ltd does not pay the dues to AD-Bureau Advertising Pvt Ltd within three months, then Ms Latha would have to pay the amount as per the undertaking given by her. Within the aforesaid period of three months, if the company – Mediaone Global Entertainment Limited does not pay the balance dues, the respondent-accused i.e. Latha Rajinikanth has undertaken before the court to pay the amount due.” The amount was taken for the promotions of the actor's movie in 2014, however, the firm believes the loan that they granted was used for some other purposes. It further stated that Latha and her company refused to pay the loan amount to the advertising bureau.
