CHANDIGARH: The
Haryana government on Wednesday issued transfer orders of 14 officers, including 1991-batch bureaucrat
Ashok Khemka. It is Khemka's 53rd transfer since joining the service.
The officers transferred on Wednesday are of the ranks of additional chief secretaries, principal secretaries and chief administrators and commissioners. Khemka has been appointed as principal secretary of the archives, archaeology and museum departments.
He was earlier posted as principal secretary (science and technology). The senior
IAS officer was transferred to science and technology department in March. His latest transfer has come within eight months. The Haryana government termed the transfers as a routine exercise.
Khemka has, however, reacted on Twitter, saying: "
Phir tabadala... Kal Sanwidhan Diwas manaya gaya. Aaj sarvochh nayayalya ke aadesh aur rules ko ek baar pher toda gaya... Imaandari ka inaam jalalat. (Transferred again... Yesterday we observed the
Constitution Day. Today, the Supreme Court's orders and rules were broken again... Prize of honesty is humiliation.)"
