BHOPAL: BJP president
Amit Shah has called a special meeting of party's youth wing in New Delhi on December 15-16 in view of the 2019
Lok Sabha elections. BJP's youth wing leaders said that they will begin rural and urban outreach programme from January 2019 on the basis of the outcome of the meetings and instructions given by the central leadership.
Sources said that taking a cue from the preparations for assembly elections in the state, the BJP has asked all Youth Morcha members to launch the 'voter connect’ drive in all districts.
A final programme will be announced after the assembly results slated for December 11.
“The meeting with BJP president has been extended to December 15 and 16. The Morcha has already appointed in-charge for districts, divisions and mandals. In view of Lok Sabha elections in 2019, the Morcha has decided to appoint in-charge in each parliamentary constituency to strengthen the coordination between different groups at various levels",
Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha (BJYM) state president Abhilash Pandey told TOI.
Sources said that Amit Shah will hold meetings with partymen to review the working of booth-level committees and also for the greater use of social media to reach out to masses in a more effective manner. "The BJP president will launch the booth connect programme through the youth wing. The members will be responsible for publicising the welfare schemes launched by the central government. In the meeting, Shah will also highlight the party's strategy to connect with all sections of the society, besides women and young voters", said a senior state BJP functionary.
Madhya Pradesh has a BJP government headed by
Shivraj Singh Chouhan. In 2014, BJP had won 26 seats of the total 29 in the state, however the assembly results scheduled to be declared on December 11 will decide the party's strategy and action plan for Lok Sabha elections, said sources.
