Boat capsize kills at least 14 in Rajasthan's Kota
At least 14 people were killed after a boat carrying oaaer 40 devotees to a temple in Indergarh area of Bundi district capsized in Chambal river. KOTA: At least 14 people were killed after a boat carrying over 40 devotees to a temple in Indergarh area of Rajasthan's Bundi district capsized in Chambal river on Wednesday morning.
The incident happened under Khatoli police station limits of Kota district.
Kota rural SP Sharad Choudhary told TOI that the boat was carrying over 40 devotees to a temple in Indergarh area of Bundi district capsized in Chambal river at around 8.45am on Wednesday morning.
Around 20-25 people are reported to have managed to swim to the shore, he said.
The boat carrying the devotees was yet to renew its fitness, a source said.
The incident happened under Khatoli police station limits of Kota district.

According to locals, 40–50 people, including women and children, had left for Kamleshwar Mahadev temple for Darshan in Indergarh area of Bundi district from villages in Khatoli police station area.
The boat carrying the devotees was yet to renew its fitness, a source said.
