1. Polling in Telangana & Rajasthan; Exit Polls Everywhere
Telanagana and Rajasthan saw end of polling today, and exit polls were released for the other poll-going states. Voter turn out recorded in Rajasthan till 5 pm was 72.2% and in Telangana till 3 pm, it was 56.17%.
According to most exit polls, the Congress seems to be getting a clear majority in Rajasthan.
The Congress and the BJP seem to be fighting very closely for Madhya Pradesh. And it appears quite neck and neck in Chhattisgarh, as well.
As far as Telangana is concerned, all exit polls are giving KCR-led TRS a clear majority.

2. Australia 191/7 After Day 2 vs India; India vs Canada Tomorrow at Hockey WC
After losing their final wicket early, India restricted Australia to 191 for seven on Day 2 of the first Test, courtesy Ravichandran Ashwin, Ishant Sharma and Jasprit Bumrah.
Travis Head rescued the Aussies with a half-century after the visitor's disciplined bowling attack had threatened to take control in Adelaide on Friday, 7 December. India spinner Ashwin claimed 3 for 50 from 33 overs, while quicks Bumrah and Ishant picked up two wickets apiece.

Hosts India would look to seal a direct quarter-final berth with a win against Canada in their final Pool C match of the men's hockey World Cup in Bhubaneswar on Saturday, 8 December.
World number 5 India are currently leading Pool C with four points from two games ahead of Olympic silver medallist Belgium (4 points) on account of a better goal difference.
The Indians have a goal difference of + 5 as against Belgium's +1.

3. Bulandshahr Unrest: Yogi Calls Cop’s Killing “Accident”; Have Gau Rakshaks Become Stronger Under Yogi’s Watch?
Calling the Bulandshahr violence an "accident", Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister, on 7 December, said that there have been no cases of mob lynchings in the state and that one must note that illegal cattle trade and cow slaughtering have been banned in the state since March 2017.

Almost 70 percent of all cases of violence inflicted by gau rakshaks in Uttar Pradesh during the last eight years – between 2010 to 2018 – have taken place after Yogi Adityanath became the chief minister.
Between 2010 and 2018, Uttar Pradesh reported 16 attacks by gau rakshaks. However, data reveals that 11 of these 16 attacks took place only after June 2017. So, almost 70 percent of all violence unleashed by cow-protection groups in Uttar Pradesh took place after the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) came to power in 2017, headed by Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath.

Rajasthan's Dhanuri village has the highest number of Muslim soldiers. Here every second household has someone who has served in the Indian Army.

5. Review: ‘Kedarnath’ Could’ve Been So Much More But It’s Still Watchable
Kedarnath is a simply told, heartfelt love story that’s just 2 hours long.
And yet in portions one wanted to scream out loud – “get on with it guys” – to speed up the proceedings. The fault, I’ve realised doesn’t lie in the film, but in the trailer. I don’t know who comes up with these but this practice of revealing the original plan must stop because the film then seems like regurgitating details we already know.
