Vasundhara Raje has filed a nomination for the CM of Rajasthan, according to the reports.

In Rajasthan, Vasundhara Raje, a prominent leader of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), has emerged victorious in Jhalrapatan and is said to be the frontrunner for the coveted role of the state’s Chief Minister. Let’s have a look at her net worth and assets, which have been a subject of recent discussion.

Vasundhara Raje served as the Chief Minister of Rajasthan from 2013 to 2018. Her nomination filing for the assembly elections on November 4 revealed her declared assets, amounting to Rs 5.5 crore. The disclosure includes an impressive holding of over 3 kg of gold valued at Rs 1.92 crore, along with 15 kg of silver valued at Rs 11.19 lakh.

Comparing this to the 2018 elections, her assets have seen an increase from Rs 4.54 crore. In 2018, she held Rs 1.29 lakh in cash, while in the current filing, her in-hand cash is reported to be Rs 2.05 lakh, with an additional Rs 11.58 lakh in the State Bank, Jaipur branch.

Hailing from Jhalrapatan, Vasundhara Raje has secured victory in the MLA elections four times and has been elected as a Member of Parliament from Jhalawar five times. Notably, she does not own a car and is reportedly not under any debt. In 2018, her reported debt was Rs 5 lakh.

Vasundhara Raje’s lineage is steeped in royalty as the daughter of Jivajirao Scindia-Shinde, the Maharaja of Gwalior, and Vijaya Raja Scindia-Shinde. Her educational journey includes early schooling at Presentation Convent School in Kodaikanal, Tamil Nadu, and graduation in economics and political science from Sophia College for Women in Mumbai. In 1972, she entered into matrimony with Maharaja Rana Hemant Singh of Rajasthan.
