With the absence of cricket in the time of Covid-19 lockdown, Kohli turned nostalgic on Friday, as he shared a picture with his New Zealand counterpart, Kane Williamson, calling him a "good man".

The picture appears to be from the Test series between the two sides when India toured New Zealand--their last overseas tour before Covid-19 led to the suspension of all sporting activities. On their 2-month long tour of New Zealand, India won the T20I series 5-0, but lost ODI series 0-3 and Test series 0-2.

Sharing the picture on Twitter, Kohli wrote, "Love our chats . Good man."

Virat Kohli and Kane Williamson seem to share a great camaraderie as the two were seen having a candid chat at the boundary when both of the skippers were not part of the 5th T20I.

Talking about their conversation on the sidelines of that game, Kohli said, "Kane and I have similar mindsets, similar philosophies. It is amazing that despite being from different parts of the world, we have similar thinking and we speak the same language."

"Despite what the scoreline suggests, I feel that New Zealand cricket is in the best hands and he is the right guy to lead this team. He is the perfect, perfect man to lead them. I wish him the best of luck and power to lead this side in the future. They are a side everyone loves to watch and play against. He is the perfect, perfect man to lead them.
