Kareena Kapoor Khan jokingly chided Priyanka Chopra for not being up-to-date with Bollywood gossip.
Priyanka Chopra, whose last Bollywood release was Prakash Jha's Jai Gangaajal in 2016, has been busy with her projects in the West. In fact, she has even shifted base to Los Angeles.
Since Priyanka has been missing from the Bollywood scene for a while now, she is not very up-to-date with industry gossip. On Koffee With Karan, she was asked if she knew the name of Varun Dhawan's girlfriend.
When Priyanka answered in the negative, an incredulous Kareena Kapoor Khan interjected, "What do you mean you don't know who Varun is dating?"
For the uninitiated, industry insiders often refer to Kareena as the Gossip Girl of Bollywood, as she always keeps herself updated about what goes on in the industry.
"So now you know only Hollywood actors or what? You're making us sound like... Don't forget your roots, haan!" Kareena jokingly chided Priyanka.
On the work front, Kareena is currently busy shooting for debutant director Raj Mehta's Good News, in which she is paired opposite Akshay Kumar. The film, which also features Diljit Dosanjh and Kiara Advani in key roles, will release on September 6 this year.
Meanwhile, Priyanka was seen in the Hollywood satirical rom-com Isn't It Romantic, which hit the theatres on Valentine's Day. The film has already raked in $20 million, according to reports.
Priyanka will make her comeback in Bollywood with Shonali Bose's The Sky Is Pink, which also features Farhan Akhtar and Zaira Wasim in pivotal roles. The film is based on the life of Aisha Chaudhary, who became a motivational speaker after being diagnosed with pulmonary fibrosis.
