Is Priyanka Chopra pregnant? Mom Madhu reveals the truth
Madhu Chopra clarified that Priyanka Chopra is not expecting her first child with Nick Jonas and that a bad camera angle was responsible for the pregnancy rumours.
Priyanka Chopra sent the grapevine into a tizzy recently when she was clicked flaunting what seemed to be a baby bump. Soon, rumours began doing the rounds that she was expecting her first child with Nick Jonas.
However, Priyanka's mother Madhu Chopra clarified that there is absolutely no truth to the pregnancy rumours. "It was a bad angle," she clarified to a leading daily, adding, "The outfit was nice. She looked like that only in some pictures, the rest were fine. Blame it on the camera angle!"
The actress has been neck-deep in the promotions of Isn't It Romantic and was exhausted due to her gruelling schedule. "When I spoke to Priyanka on the phone, she told me that she was tired and hence, had a slumped posture. I told her what people were saying, and she simply said, 'Mamma, give me a break!'" Madhu revealed.
Interestingly, at the premiere of Isn't It Romantic in Los Angeles, Priyanka was asked if she is planning to have children with Nick in the near future. She was also asked if there was any pressure from her family regarding the same.
"No, my family is just happy that I'm finally married," Priyanka laughed. Talking about starting a family with Nick, she said that "it will happen when it has to". "We have definitely thought about it. We definitely want it. It will happen when it has to," she said.
Directed by Todd Strauss-Schulson, Isn't It Romantic is a satirical rom-com revolving around the life of Natalie (Rebel Wilson), an architect who is disenchanted with love and thinks romantic comedies "are lies set to terrible pop songs". However, after she is hit by a pole, she wakes up to discover that her life has become a romantic comedy, with her as a leading lady.
Priyanka will be seen playing a yoga ambassador named Isabella in Isn't It Romantic, which released on Valentine's Day (February 14).
