SUSHANT SINGH RAJPUT DEATH CASE: ALL YOU NEED TO KNOW

WHAT HAPPENED TO RHEA CHAKRABORTY?

Rhea Chakraborty was accused of abetment to suicide of Sushant Singh Rajput by the late actor's family, just a month after his death on June 14, 2020. The family also alleged that Rhea and her family siphoned off Rs 15 crore from the actor's bank account. Since then, the actress has been under constant scrutiny by many media channels and social media users. She was arrested by the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) for allegedly procuring drugs and spent one month in Mumbai's Byculla jail. Her brother, Showik Chakraborty, and Sushant's house manager Samuel Miranda were also arrested by the NCB.

While Rhea Chakraborty had been released on bail, she is still under constant media scrutiny. The family is struggling to find new flat for themselves. She was recently spotted house-hunting in Mumbai with her brother Showik. The sister-brother duo also marked their attendance at the NCB recently with their father.

RHEA CHAKRABORTY'S BOLLYWOOD COMEBACK

Filmmaker Rumi Jaffery recently said that Rhea Chakraborty will soon make her Bollywood comeback. In an interview to SpotBoye, Rumi Jaffery said that while 2020 was bad for everyone, it was a traumatic year for Rhea. He said, "The year was distressing for everyone. But in Rhea's case the trauma was of another level altogether. We can't even imagine that a girl from a well-to-do middle class family has to spend a month in jail. That crushed her morale completely."

He added, "She will get back to work early next year (2021). I met Rhea recently. She was quiet and withdrawn and I can't blame her after what she has gone through. Once the dust settles I am sure Rhea has a lot to say."

The Sushant Singh Rajput death case is being investigated by the Central Bureau Investigation (CBI). Enforcement Directorate (ED) and Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) are looking into cases of money laundering and drugs related to the actor's death.
