Wajid Khan of music composer duo Sajid-Wajid died on June 1 after coronavirus complicated kidney disease. On Wednesday (June 3), his elder brother Sajid Khan shared an old video of the late singer-composer to remember him.

In the video, Wajid Khan is seen playing piano on a smartphone app. He can be seen wearing hospital robes in the video. Sharing the video, Sajid wrote, "Duniya chhut gayi, sab kuch chhuta , na tune kabhi music chodda,na music tujhe kabhi chodega. My brother is a legend and legends don’t die. I will always love you. Mere Khushi mein,meri duaaon mein, mere naam mein tu hamesha rahega (sic)."

The news of Wajid Khan's demise came as a big shock to the film industry. Celebrities took to social media to express their grief. Salman Khan, who gave the musician brothers their first break in his film Pyaar Kiya To Darna Kya, wrote, "Wajid Vil always love, respect, remember n miss u as a person n ur talent, Love u n may your beautiful soul rest in peace... (sic)."

Sajid-Wajid's mother, who was taking care of the late singer-composer in Surana Hospital in Mumbai, was also tested positive for coronavirus after Wajid's death. She is currently in the hospital undergoing treatment.

Wajid Khan was also suffering from kidney ailments and had undergone a kidney transplant a few months ago. He was hospitalised last week because of health complications. The music director was on the ventilator for the last few days. Wajid Khan was at a hospital in Chembur, Maharashtra, where he breathed his last. He was laid to rest at the Versova cemetery in Mumbai. Actor Irrfan was also buried at the Versova cemetery.
