Anushka Sharma supported Virat Kohli as he missed his father at DDCA (Delhi & District Cricket Association) event in Delhi.
Anushka Sharma and Virat Kohli are the most talked-about couple of B-town. Anushka is often seen cheering for Virat on various cricket matches.
The star couple was part of the event in Delhi when the Feroz Shah Kotla stadium was being renamed after former finance minister Arun Jaitley. One part of the pavilion in the stadium has been named after Virat.
At the event, DDCA (Delhi & District Cricket Association) president Rajat Sharma talked about an incident when Arun Jaitley visited Virat's house after his father, Prem Kohli, passed away.
When Jaitley reached Virat's house he got to know that despite his father's demise, Virat didn't take a break from his practice and went out to play a match. At that time, Jaitley was in awe of Kohli and he predicted that he will be a big name in the history of Delhi's cricket.
Listening to Rajat talk about his father, Virat Kohli got emotional but Anushka supported him by kissing his hands. The video of Virat and Anushka from the Delhi event is going viral on social media.
Virat took to Instagram to thank DDCA and the Indian Cricket Team after the pavilion was named after him. He wrote, "Thank you @ddcacricketofficial and @indiancricketteam for bestowing this honour upon me. The pavilion will remind me of my journey in life and in cricket but most importantly I hope it will serve as an inspiration for the next generation of young cricketers of our nation."
Virat and Anushka don't shy away from flaunting their bond on social media. Recently, Virat took to Instagram to share a selfie with Anushka from West Indies. The couple look amazing in the picture. The two were recently in West Indies where Virat and his team played a test series against the West Indies team. Team India won the series.
Recently, at Graham Bensinger's talk In Depth With Graham Bensinger, Virat spilled the beans on how his first meeting with Anushka Sharma went on the sets of a shampoo commercial back then. Virat said that he actually cracked a joke about her heels to undo the awkwardness.
"We met at commercial shoot for a shampoo. I remember my manager Bunty told me that 'you have a brand coming up'. I was excited to be a part of it. But when I asked 'who is it with?', he told me 'it's with Anushka Sharma'. I was like 'are you joking?' He told me, 'I am serious'. I thought how am I going to be in the same frame as that of a professional actor? 'I am going to look like a fool. I have no idea how to do this.' My manager consoled me saying, 'It is a nice script. It will be a fun'," Virat said on the show.
With frequent pictures of them on social media and their PDA, Virat and Anushka are sure setting couple goals.
