The Batras are waiting to meet you again! Akshay Kumar announces re-release of Good Newwz in Dubai
Akshay Kumar, along with his Good Newwz team, announced that the 2019 film is re-releasing in Dubai on June 11.
Good news for all Akki fans in UAE! Akshay Kumar's film Good Newwz will be re-released in Dubai on June 11, as the city has re-opened cinema halls. The lockdown imposed to stop the spread of the novel coronavirus is being lifted, and that's, well, good news, right?
Akshay took to Twitter to announce the news and wrote, "The Batras are waiting to meet you again! #GoodNewwz is all set to re-release in #Dubai on 11th June, see you there (sic)!"
The 2019 film also starred Kareena Kapoor Khan, Kiara Advani and Diljit Dosanjh as main leads.
Kareena shared the same on her Insta story. She wrote, "Good news for all the movie-goers. The most loved goof-up of the year is back to the big screen in Dubai. Relive the cinematic experience from 11th June onwards (sic)."

Speaking about the re-release, in a recent interview, Akshay Kumar said, "Dubai has always given so much love to my films. The re-release of Good Newwz is special, especially during such times. I hope it manages to entertain the audience once again."
Apart from Good Newwz, Ayushmann Khurrana's 2019 film Dream Girl is also re-releasing in Dubai on the same date. Director Raaj Shaandilyaa tweeted about the same.
"Once again for my #Dubai Friendz...#Dreamgirl @ayushmannk @NushratBharucha @ektarkapoor @balajimotionpic," Shaandilyaa wrote.
The film also starred Nushrat Bharucha, Annu Kapoor, Vijay Raaz and Abhishek Banerjee in pivotal roles.
Cinemas in Dubai re-opened on May 27, adhering to government measures of social distancing and regular disinfection to contain the spread of the deadly virus. The official Twitter handle of the Dubai Media Office announced the same on May 26.
"Under the directives of @HHShkMohd, @HamdanMohammed announces the gradual reopening of business activities in #Dubai from Wednesday, 27 May. There will be no restrictions on movement between 6.00 am and 11.00 pm (sic)," the tweet reads.

Coming back to Good Newwz, "the biggest goof-up of the year" is the story of a childless couple, Akshay and Kareena, the Batra, who opt for in-vitro fertilisation. In a hilarious twist of events, their sperm is exchanged with the other Batras, Diljit and Kiara, at the clinic.
The Akshay-Kareena-Kiara-Diljit starrer hit the screens on December 27, 2019. For those of you who don't stay in Dubai, you can still enjoy the film on OTT, available on Amazon Prime Video.
