Tanhaji The Unsung Warrior: Ajay Devgn film to get a Marathi release

Ajay Devgn's fans are going to get a perfect gift next year as his 100th film Tanhaji: The Unsung Warrior will not only release in Hindi but in Marathi as well. The period drama will hit the screens across Maharashtra on January 10, 2020.

Trade analyst Taran Adarsh took to Twitter to announce the news. In his tweet, he shared that the Marathi version of the trailer of Tanhaji: The Unsung Warrior will be out on December 10, this year.

The film will feature Ajay as Maratha warrior Tanhaji Malusare who fought the Battle of Sinhagad (1670) against Udaybhan Singh Rathod. Rathod's role will be essayed by Saif Ali Khan. Cinephiles will also get to watch Kajol as Ajay's on-screen wife, Savitribai Malusare, in Tanhaji.

Ajay has worked with both Kajol and Saif in several films, respectively. While Ajay had last worked with his wife Kajol in Toonpur Ka Superhero, which released in 2010, he is reuniting with Saif after Vishal Bhardwaj's directorial venture, Omkara (2006).

The trailer of Tanhaji: The Unsung Warrior was released on November 19 and Ajay had promoted the same on social media.

Apart from the trailer, the makers also released a track titled, Shankara Re Shankara on December 3, in which both Tanhaji and Udaybhan, the two enemies come face-to-face ahead of their final standoff on the battlefield.

Directed by Om Raut, Tanhaji: The Unsung Warrior will clash with Deepika Padukone's Chhapaak at the box office.
